A new report by Holon IQ predicts that global venture funding deployment for the edtech sector will recover to pre-pandemic levels in 2023. Funding for the sector nearly halved from $20.8B in 2021 to $10.6B in 2022. Funding is expected to be particularly strong in the U.S., Europe, and India.
• The report cites the demand for learning management systems to drive growth in the sector.
• In addition, the report predicts that schools will require technology to meet learning outcomes in students, address faculty and teacher well-being, and solve retention challenges.
• According to a Holon poll, 67% of respondents perceived the greatest development prospects rising from tutoring and test prep, followed by language learning and personnel management, as confirmed by 60% and 50% of respondents, respectively.
